Just finished a white paper on how the leaders in the travel industry in Asia use Facebook. The paper, produced under contract from EyeForTravel, will be delivered at the 2011 Asia Travel Distribution Summit in Singapore next month (May 18-19).
This paper was essentially a short form update of the 2010 Asia Travel Engagement Report I produced for water&stone last year. While that paper sought to identify the Top 25 Most Engaged Asian Travel Brands and looked at a wide variety of channels, this newest paper narrowed both the selection set (20, instead of 25) and the channels (Facebook only).
The review provided some interesting insights. Obviously, I can't scoop the publication of the paper, but suffice it to say that the industry in this region still lags in some very important areas and are really missing opportunities for richer engagement. I'll talk more about this once the publisher releases the paper...
